Abstract. Three species of Ambrosia L. genus (Ambrosia artemisiifolia L., A. trifida L. and A. psilostachya DC.) are represented in the Caucasus, having different spreading history, distribution and, accordingly, study in the regions. The species dispersal through the ecoregion was from the Western Caucasus and Ciscaucasia, where they are most widespread and have a longer history of study. At the same time, most works were devoted to the ecological, phytocenotic and territorial aspects of Ambrosia artemisiifolia habitats, as well as measures to suppress the species in agrocenoses. The species population biology were covered to the least extent and require close attention. Information on Ambrosia trifida is mainly limited to descriptions of habitats and local finds. For the Republic of Adygea, data on the species seasonal development and morphology were presented. Ambrosia psilostachya has been studied extremely poorly in the Western Caucasus and Ciscaucasia, which is largely due to its limited distribution.
