Abstract. Digitisation of herbarium collections, which have not only botanical but also historical significance, contributes to the accessibility of these materials. his is one of the important modern tasks of herbarology. The paper presented the results of scanning herbarium collections of the outstanding researchers of the Caucasian flora and vegetation N. A. and E. A. Bush (1920s). The herbaric collection is stored in the fonds of the National Museum of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic. A modern planetary scanner ElarScan A2-400.VK was used to digitise 109 herbarium sheets (94 species and subspecies from 52 genera and 22 families). Among the scanned materials were identified species described for the first time by N. A. and E. A. Busch (Papaver lisae N. Busch and Ranunculus balkharicus N. Busch), as well as species rare for the region (Pseudovesicaria digitata Rupr., Allium victoralis L. and Draba longisiliqua Schmalh.). The historical herbarium collection of N. A. and E. A. Busch will be available for study by interested users.
