On the basis of data from 20 meteorological stations for 1961-2018 of the «basic triad» of precipitation (total, maximum daily precipitation and the number of days with precipitation of at least 20 mm (NR20)) for the territory of southern European Russia, a frequency analysis of seasonal and annual precipitation was carried out, a frequency distribution in absolute value, an integral distribution was obtained. The right-sided asymmetry of the empirical distribution function revealed a redistribution of the daily maximum precipitation and NR20 towards their increase.

Keywords: annual and seasonal precipitation, frequency characteristics, integral characteristics, empirical distribution function, southern Russia.
