The article is devoted to the analysis of the monograph by L.F. Kharaeva, Z.A. Kuchukova «Gender and Ethnogender». It is argued that it (the monograph) represents a new stage in the development of ethnological science in the region. The perspectives of the recursive method of humanitarian knowledge, built by the authors of the monograph, are emphasized. The issues of formation and development of ethnic genderology are touched upon.
